About KareGO

We built KareGO because understanding your own health changes what you are willing to do about it — and because the tools for that understanding were never designed for the people who need them most.

A letter from the founders

Why we started KareGO

Most of us only meet our medical history when something goes wrong. A form in A&E. A new GP who has never seen us before. A second opinion in another country, with a folder of printouts that somehow still misses the one result that matters. The information exists — scattered across clinics, portals, PDFs, photos on a phone — but it rarely arrives in a form a person can actually use.

We started KareGO because we believe that gap is not a minor inconvenience. It is the difference between noticing a trend early and discovering it late; between walking into an appointment prepared and walking out having forgotten half of what was said; between a paramedic seeing your allergies in seconds and guessing under pressure.

There is a simpler idea underneath all of that. When people understand their health, they develop an appetite to look after it. Knowledge is not the same as motivation — but it is very often the thing that unlocks it. A blood result you can read. A visit you can revisit. A question answered from your own record, in language that does not require a medical degree. Those are not features for their own sake. They are the conditions under which people start to take their health seriously, consistently, over years.

So we set out to build a lifelong health record that organises itself, explains itself, and stays with you when you change doctors, cities or countries. Not a wellness feed. Not a clinic portal that locks you out when you leave. A custodian for the health information you already have — and the information you will keep accumulating for the rest of your life.

We also decided, early, what we would refuse. We would not build an advertising business on top of medical histories. We would not send your records to an external AI provider. We would not make deletion difficult, or trap your data behind a subscription wall. Those choices cost more and grow more slowly. They are also the only arrangement we would trust with our own families' records — which is the standard we use.

KareGO is still a small company. We say that plainly on our Trust Center, because pretending otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on the page. Small means we can answer when something breaks. It also means we have more to prove: independent audits still to commission, charts still to make fully accessible, and a product that must earn trust one careful decision at a time.

If you use KareGO, you are trusting us with something that does not get a second chance if we get it wrong. We do not take that lightly. We built this to help people understand their health — and, through that understanding, to give them a reason to work on it. That is the purpose. Everything else is in service of it.

With care,
